What if I do not know my PIN to login?
If you're just at the PIN entry screen and unsure what to do, regarding the PIN, the easiest fix is to hit the back arrow in the top left of the screen when the PIN comes up at login. Then, login with username and password and select "Remember Me". It is recommend resetting your PIN, if your current PIN is not working. Go to "Settings" located in the menu at the bottom of the screen, then "Security", then "PIN". You can enable the fingerprint prompt by going to "Settings" located in the menu at the bottom of the screen, then "Security", then activate the option for fingerprint. This feature is only available if your device supports it and the feature is enabled on your device. Otherwise, you can always login using a 4 digit PIN or your username/password.
How does DashDirect work?/How do I save with DashDirect?
DashDirect always uses a digital gift card to make payments. Each time you enter a total, it will purchase a gift card for that exact amount and deliver it to your phone so you can give it to the cashier as payment in full. The gift card usually costs you less because we pay part of the total, but the balance of the gift card will always be payment in full to the retailer. You can think of each payment as two steps: 1. Buy a gift card on the spot for the exact amount needed (usually at an immediate savings to you) 2. Use that to pay the retailer in full to complete your purchase. For each purchase you will see a charge to your DASH wallet and will usually be less than the retail total you see on the receipt that the merchant gives you. How do I reset my password?
To reset your password, simply go to the login screen, and click "Forgot?" and follow the steps to set a new password.
How do I recover an unused gift card?
If an e-gift code has been purchased and not used you can always recover it. There is never a need to purchase a second gift card to complete a purchase. You can view past history by navigating to the "Wallet" tab on the bottom of the screen and select "Gift Cards". Then tap on "Redeemed". You will see all of your purchases. Tapping on a transaction will open a detail screen where you can view the e-gift code again. If you have not used the balance of an e-gift code and want to store it for future use, tap on the button that says "Mark as Available", which will move the e-gift code to "Active" tab. This will add it back to "Active" for use on a future date.
How do I make a purchase on Groupon?
Groupon has a simple checkout page, that does not include the option for a gift code. To redeem a gift code, put your mouse cursor over your account name, and from the drop-down box, select “Redeem Gift Card” This will add the gift card balance to your account as "Groupon Bucks.' During checkout, you will see the gift card amount automatically deducted from your purchase total.
How do I search for merchants nearby?
The default search is all merchants sorted A to Z. To see merchants near you, simply select the "Nearby" tab and allow DashDirect to access your devices location.
How do I update the balance on a gift card if I didn't use it all?
If an e-gift code has been purchased but the full balance has not been used and you need to access to it, it can be found in the History. You can view past history by navigating to the "Wallet" tab on the bottom of the screen and select "Gift Cards". Then tap on "Redeemed". You will see all of your purchases. Tapping on a transaction will open a detail screen where you can view the e-gift code again. If you have not used the balance of an e-gift code and want to store it for future use, tap on the button that says "Mark as Available", where you can update the balance which will then move the e-gift code to "Active" tab. Remember that this does not change the actual balance remaining on the card, but is for your convenience in tracking the unused portion. You can always check your balance with the merchant directly.
How do I bring up a code again?

How do I make a payment in store?
After the gift card arrives to your device, the app will give instructions for redemption and will display either a QR Code, Barcode, or a number for redemption. Retailers generally use QR Codes or Barcodes but a barcode may not arrive with every transaction. The best advise I can give you is to simply allow the app go guide you. Pay attention to the instructions in the app and it will tell you what to do. Sometimes, for example in a restaurant, it will say to write the gift card number down on receipt and to tell the server you are paying with a gift card. Other times you simply need to display a bar code to a cashier. We do have some merchants where payments are automatically received to their system and you just have to tell them them that you paid with DashDirect. However, gift cards are not always automatically delivered, so you will have to redeem them with the merchant to complete your payment. Each retailer has their own individual approach so as long as you follow the instructions in the app, you'll be fine.
Where can I find my transaction details/history?
To view your transaction details and history tap on "Wallet" from the menu at the bottom of the screen and select "Gift Cards". Once selected you are able to view all the transactions affiliated with that account. From here you can select a transaction from either the "Active" or "Redeemed" tab and select "More Options" and then "Card History". From here you will see all the details about the card and the history of the card.
How do I make a payment online?
If a participating merchant has a "gift card" field in their checkout page online, you can use DashDirect as normal to create the gift card code. Then copy/paste or type the code into the gift card field on the merchant website and follow their instructions for completing your purchase. If they require a PIN, the DashDirect confirmation screen displays a PIN specific to that e-gift card code.
Can DashDirect be used outside of the US?
DashDirect is only available in the U.S. in the 50 states. Unfortunately at this time US territories are not supported by our platform. We will make announcements as we add additional markets, so stay tuned!
Why do I have to verify my device?
We take your security seriously. To protect your account from unauthorized access, we require that any new devices be confirmed by you first. This way if someone were to ever get your username and password, they would not be able to access your account with this information alone. This is called "2-Factor Authentication". Using a new device triggers a requirement to verify that you are the individual accessing the account. Once you've registered your device once, you will never need to verify that specific device again.
